Lg L1400 review...

The new Lg L1400 camera phone was released in the 3rd quarter of 2004 and is used on the Cingular wireless network.

Having been in the cellular phone business for over 12 years we have learned to judge the phones when they come out as to what category of persons they will appeal to. The L1400 Lg seems to be destined to be used primarily by the average cell phone user being that it has a fairly limited entry phone book with only up to 3 numbers per entry instead of 5, which seems to be the norm for business usage.

This particular cell phone seems to be about the average size for a clam shell style phone. As far as the weight goes, there again, it weighs about average compared to other manufactures of cell phones with the same features.

Lets talk about more features...

The Lg L1400 is a VGA camera equipped cell phone with up to a 4x zoom. It is capable of five resolution, 96x96, 128x160, 160x120, 320x240 and 640x480. You are able to store up to 71 pictures on the lowest resolution of 96x96 pixels. The camera may be use to have pictures assigned to your phonebook entries so that when that person calls their portrait will pop up on the inside and outside display with the number. Also you can use it to have personalized wallpapers for you display.

A self portrait can be taken with the phone closed, I don't know how much this feature would be used but no the less it is capable of competing the task.

Software that is included is SMS and MMS client, small email client, WAP browser, and a Java-based instant messaging
client. It also has My MEdia for storing downloadable games, applications, multimedia content, graphics and photos.

This new Motorola cell phone is sometimes referred to as the Motorola Razor. The designers got together and decided to create on of the thinnest clamshell phones on the market today and load it with features.

Motorola has always been at the head of the class when it comes to the clamshell style phones. Perhaps their most memorable design several years ago was the Star Tac model and more recent the very popular Motorola v600.

Due to its thinnest, the Razr v3 is made from a metal-alloy of an anodized aluminum casing, and not plastic like many other cellular phones are made of which makes it very lightweight at just 95 grams. The metal alloy case also provides durable protection for the everyday wear and tear and perhaps the occasional drop or bump.

What are some of the basic features...

The VGA camera comes equipped with a 4x digital zoom and has three resolutions of mms 160 x 120 px, medium 320 x 240 px, and high 640 x 480 px.
Bluetooth is built into the phone along with a speaker phone.

It is a Quad band with 850, 900, 1800 and 1900 GSM equipped phone that makes it quite attractive for world traveling.

The Motorola v3 Razr comes with a 750 mah Li-ion battery that is good for 3 hours of talk time and up to 200 hours of stand bye time.

Now for some of the new features...

The internal phone book can store up to 1000 contacts with the capability of putting up to 9 numbers per entry along with picture ID.

Skipping Stones, Golf and Billiards are the three games that come with the phone to be played on the 3D graphics engine for Java. With the Java 2 platform and J2ME Micro Edition it also allows the download of other great games.

The newly designed keypad is a very unique and takes a little getting use to when you first see and use it.
