Nokia 6820 review...
Improving on its largely unpopular 6800 series, Nokia introduced the 6810 and 6820 models in the early part of 2004.
Of the two, the 6820 is the more impressive, and as such we have decided to review this model for our visitors.
So what are the changes?
The Nokia 6820 retains the clamshell-like design, with the built-in keyboard. However, it is now smaller (107x47x20mm) and weighs only 100 grams.
Our 6820 review shows that while this smaller, lighter design is more convenient than the previous 6800, the smaller keypad and keyboard could cause problems for people with larger hands.
Some welcome additions include the power button and other keys relocated to the front, so that they are accessible even when the phone keyboard is open.
We also like the new joystick, which is now pressable in addition to allowing for 4-way moving...one of the highlights of our Nokia 6820 reviews.
Any negatives to speak of from the Nokia 6820 reviews?
The only real drawback here is the backlight, which isn't very bright and readout is a tad blurry.
No noticeable improvements as far as the display is concerned, with 128x128 pixels and up to 4096 colors, it's not up to par as much as we'd like it to be.
Nokia 6820 Reviews: Final Thoughts
Nokia phones almost always offer good quality, and are definitely reliable. The EDGE technology is beneficial, and it now includes Bluetooth technology, something the 6800 models did not have.
For those of you who like to write messages, the computer-like QWERTY keyboard is a plus, but the screen is rather small, and checking emails is difficult, involving a lot of scrolling.
