Motorola v551 review...
Finally Motorola has release a cellular phone product that has the send and end buttons on the same sides as every one else in the industry has. The send, or talk button, is on the left and the end button is on the right. Having sold these products in our store here in Canada, this is especially beneficial if you are changing from another brand of cell phone to a Motorola product. It was always confusing when you switch to the Motorola with the buttons on the opposite sides than everyone elses location.
The Motorola v551 camera and video cell phone has been quite well received by the buying public since its release to be used on the Cingular Wireless network.
This GSM phone is a Quad Band, which means you can take it with you as you travel the world. It has the 850MHz and 1900 MHz bands that are use in the US and Canada as well as the 900MHz and 1800MHz that are used in most of the Asian, European and many other overseas countries. This is a big plus for the traveler.
More pro comments..
Even though this is not he slimmest phone on the market its 3.26 ounce weight makes it fairly light and compact. People seem to like the no slip rubber type case it is in. It fits in you hand, pocket or purse quite well.
The VGA quality camera takes good pictures to which you may do for you phone book entries so that when your contacts call you up their picture pops up on the screen. Just a little feature that makes its more personal.
Being Bluetooth enabled allows you to put on a wireless headset and visit other areas in your home or office and still be connected to your phone no matter where you let it close by.
This new v551 employs the new EDGE (or Enhanced Data Rates for Global Evolution) which is a 3G technology that delivers broadband-like data speeds to mobile devices. It allows consumers to connect to the Internet and send and receive data, including digital images, web pages and photographs, three times faster than possible with an ordinary GSM network.
More and more cell phone products like the v551 Motorola are coming equipped with a handsfree speaker phone, a nice convince. Also the menus on the phone are customizable.
Even though few, there are some cons...
In regards to the speakerphone, it location on the back of the phone makes it harder to hear clearly than if its location was on the front facing you.
One other complaint some users of the new Motorola v551 have was that the web browser button was too close to the send button and sometimes it gets accidentally pushed while using the browser.
Overall the Motorola v551 review is good with the majority of customers agreeing that this a very good cellular phone product that is offered from Motorola through Cingular and their dealers.
